Privacy for Families

Castlebury Word Trails is a family word-search game published by Castlebury Books, an imprint of JonWard.IO LLC. Children can play without submitting personal information.

What the game stores

The game saves trail progress, puzzle choices, and random puzzle seeds in the browser storage on the device. These records stay with that browser installation. Clearing the website data removes the saved trail.

What the game asks for

The current release asks for zero names, email addresses, ages, locations, photos, camera access, microphone access, or account details. It includes zero forms, product accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, payments, or donation features.

Internet delivery

Cloudflare Pages delivers the game files. Cloudflare may process ordinary internet request information, including IP addresses, traffic-routing data, system configuration information, and information about traffic to and from the site. Cloudflare describes these practices in its privacy policy.

Offline play

After the first successful visit, a browser service worker stores the game files in the browser cache for offline play. The cache holds the game pages, artwork, styles, code, icons, and manifest.
